Destiny Bay is a small, single vineyard, family owned winery that specializes in estate grown and bottled blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc,Malbec and Petit Verdot. Nestled in a tiny, north facing valley with a climate that favors the grape like nowhere else, grape clones of impeccable lineage grow on steep slopes of cracking clay soils. Destiny Bay wines are known for their delicate balance, distinctive harmony and finesse, elegant structure and rich varietal flavor. Destiny Bay wines are available at fine restaurants and in the private cellars of discriminating collectors. Destiny Bay is a fully certified Sustainable Vineyard and is Waiheke Island’s first fully certified Sustainable Winery.

The wines are made exclusively from estate grown grapes cultivated to uncompromising viticulture standards. The result is a low yield crop with balance, structure, rich varietal flavors, and ripe tannins. Only the best grapes survive a harvesting and processing gauntlet unlike any other. The winemaking team crafts three distinct blends by maintaining separate fractions of “free-run” and pressed wine throughout elevage.

THE WINES:

MAGNA PRAEMIA – Dominated by deep press fractions of Cabernet Sauvignon. Latin for “Great Rewards”, Magna Praemia is a treasure for the cellar.

MYSTAE – A balance between the power of Cabernet and the fruit characters of Merlot.

DESTINAE – Dominated by free-run fractions and a higher percentage of Merlot.
