Demand for Eco Insulation’s natural building insulation products have grown so much in recent years that the company has had to find larger premises. Eco Insulation moved into new corporate offices and warehouse facilities at the beginning of October.
It’s not only in New Zealand that we’ve seen growth, says Debra Gillette, who purchased the company earlier this year together with her husband, Steve, and business partner Martin Wylie.
Customers in Asia are increasingly enamoured with our natural and sustainable products. We already have a foothold in Japan and Korea, and are looking to expand into other markets in the region.
Founded in 2000, Eco Insulation are award-winning innovators who manufacture and distribute a range of insulation products, many of them based on natural wool. Their popular Eco Fleece uses either virgin or recycled New Zealand wool, with a smaller polyester component. It is supplied as fluffy woollen blankets in a range of thicknesses and can be made to order for particular buildings.
Eco Fleece is ecologically sound, non-toxic, non-allergenic and very effective as a thermal barrier and to dampen sound, says Debra.
Like everything we do, it is planet friendly. People can save up to 40% on their heating costs when they install Eco Insulation products. And research shows that wool even absorbs toxins from the environment!
Installers like working with Eco Fleece too, as it doesn’t release fibres or gases that can be a health risk. They don’t even have to wear protective clothing or masks. Once installed, Eco Fleece doesn’t compress or break down like its synthetic counterparts.
